Introductory Meeting 

Last Thursday marked an exciting milestone as I attended my first team meeting at It’s Just For Me. I was introduced to the team and the objectives of the internship. We learnt about the main product, AfterMED Lips, a soothing aftercare solution for lip filler treatments providing a more luxury form of aftercare rather than just Vaseline and Lube.

Our primary objective is to enhance the social media presence by creating content and analysing market trends. Here’s an overview of my assignments and the insights I gathered.

Assessing Our Social Media Presence

My first task was to thoroughly review our current social media activities. Here’s what I found:

  • Instagram & TikTok : Regular posts showcasing product benefits, user testimonial and educational content. Pinned posts shows brand mission as well as the faces behind the brand which creates familiarity with customers.
  • Posts effectively establish and reinforce the identity of your brand, creating a strong and consistent presence across platforms.
  • Excellent use of Reels, incorporating a variety of content such as comedic skits and "Day in the Life" segments. These not only entertain but also provide a behind-the-scenes look at your campaign work, enhancing relatability and engagement.

It was a great experience understanding the brand and aided my brainstorming for future content that would fit with the image.

Researching other companies

To gain inspiration, I studied two leading aesthetic clinics who had great engagement on their social media platforms: Chic Aesthetics & Minah Aesthetics. Both clinics excel in creating visually appealing content and take part in social media trends resulting in a high number of likes and views. This research process gave me ideas for the type of content It’s Just For Me should create and ideas regarding collaboration with aesthetic practitioners. Overall, it was a very enlightening process as I noticed process videos of aesthetic treatments (fat dissolving injections, lip fillers etc) as well as day-in-the-life vlog type posts receive a high level of engagement which is something It’s Just For Me should continue to take advantage of.

Moving Forward

By integrating these strategies discovered in the research process, we aim to enhance It’s Just For Me’s social media presence, increase engagement, and ultimately drive sales for AfterMed Lips. I’m excited about the journey ahead and look forward to seeing the positive impact of our revamped social media strategy.
